Earlier this month, members of the Central and Northern California Ocean Observing System (CeNCOOS) team led an in-person, hands-on training on the CalOOS Data Portal for students at California State University, Monterey Bay, connecting the next generation of marine scientists with powerful ocean observing tools. The interactive session led by CeNCOOS Engagement Specialist Alexandra Boutros and Tetra Tech Technical Project Manager Iwen Su introduced students to the capabilities of the CalOOS Data Portal and provided practical experience exploring ocean observing data and tools that support coastal science, management, and decision-making.
